This man portable drill rig has a rotary head which can tilt mechanically. The pull down force is realized by gravity. The pull up force is realized by two persons who pull a rope connected to the rotary head with the drill rods. The rotary head will rotate clockwise. A swivel transports water or air through the drill rods to the drill bit. The gasoline engine powers a v-belt and transmission axle. The quick connector under the rotaty head allows 2000 mm rods to connect easily, safely and quickly.
A chain drives the rotary head. The
foot clamp (mounted at the bottom of the mast) clamps the drill rod. The clamp is operated by a foot pedal. By operating the pedal, the lower drill rod is clamped. This way you can dissassemble the upper drill rod. The man portable drill rig can be dissassembled in two sub-units. The mast weighs 70 kg and the skid weighs 75 kg.
